October Chapter Meeting: How L&D Can Enable AI Productivity and Safety (10/15/2026)

L&D has a critical role to play in the wider adoption of AI technology throughout the organization. As leaders, we are responsible both for ensuring that the tools used in our own organization are safe and free of bias. Additionally, we are responsible for thinking through how AI safety is replicated at every level of the organization.

We will cover:

The potential pitfalls of AI adaptation
The special case of AI bias in people operations:
- Why it exists
- How it can be measured
- Why this is a critical responsibility for HR operations
How to craft a dynamic AI internal use policy consistent with 2026 technology

ABOUT YOUR PRESENTER:

John Rood is founder of Proceptual, an AI governance training consultancy. In this role he has helped organizations from startup to Global 50 implement AI governance, safety, and compliance programs.
