ATD (Association for Talent Development) is the world’s largest non profit association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals with more than 60 years of presence and over 70,000 members from thousands of organizations in the United States and internationally.
Eligibility
According to our bylaws, membership in the Chapter is open to those who have interests or responsibilities in training delivery, learning and development, talent development, performance improvement and/or human resource development and are interested in advancing the objectives of the Chapter and the Association, and subscribe to and are qualified under these bylaws.
A chapter member in good standing is one who meets the requirements for membership, and whose dues are paid for the membership year. Each member in good standing shall have a vote and full membership rights. Any person desiring membership shall complete the application.
Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics provides guidance to members to be self-managed professionals. Clients and employers should expect from members the highest professional standards of personal integrity, professional competence, sound judgment and discretion. Developed by the profession for the profession, the Code of Ethics is the declaration of our obligations to conduct ourselves in a respectful and honest manner.
Conduct and Professionalism
Recognize and respect the rights and dignities of each individual member, vendor and leader.
Conduct, behavior and actions will be ethical, honest, and transparent.
Comply with all copyright laws and regulations governing written and oral materials.
Fairly and accurately represent your personal credentials, qualifications, experience and professional affiliations.
Refrain from any overt statements or pointed humor which disparages the rightful dignity and social equity of any individual or group.
When using the association name in any spoken or written capacity, a clear delineation must be upheld between a member's personal views and those of ATD-LA. Make clear that the ideas presented are personal and do not represent those of the association.
Refrain from using the association’s platform to directly sell, promote, or otherwise encourage participants to purchase or use the speaker’s products or services.
Refrain from using the association’s platform to promote personal political preferences.
Never use any association’s budget, sponsors, membership rosters or funds for personal gain.
Privacy Policy
When you apply for membership, the membership application requires basic information, such as your name, street address, and e-mail address. Your participation at chapter activities and member services is tracked to help the chapter better understand overall member interests and evaluate the effectiveness of our offerings. The chapter also collects demographic information to learn more about group characteristics and needs. All of this information helps better serve members and improve programs.
Information Sharing
Member information is confidential and is to be used for chapter business, authorized communication about events of potential interest to members, and networking between members.The chapter will provide a mailing list brokers or other companies, excluding those that opted out of advertisements. If you have questions or concerns about violations of this policy, contact the chapter office during normal business hours.
Resources and Tools
The website is provided to one active member on record. Each member is entitled to one membership per person. One active membership does not allow it to be shared with others or a group.
By downloading, accessing, or using the chapter website in order to view our information and materials or submit information of any kind, you represent that you are at least the legal age of majority and will, at all times, provide true, accurate, current, and complete information when submitting information or materials on the chapter website, including, without limitation, when you provide information via an ATD Portal registration, application or submission form.
If you provide any false, inaccurate, untrue, or incomplete information, the chapter reserves the right to terminate immediately your access to and use of the chapter website and its tools. In addition, you agree to abide by all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations with respect to your use of the chapter website.
Etiquette
By joining and using online tools, you agree that you have read and will follow these rules and guidelines. You must participate in a respectful manner at every discussion and with shared files. In order to preserve a climate that encourages both civil and fruitful dialogue, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership in this community for anyone who violate these rules.
Discussions and comments are meant to stimulate conversation not to create contention. Never challenge, threaten or attack others. Contact people directly with product and service information if you believe it would help them. Don't post commercial messages on any discussion list, resource library entry, or other area where others might see it.
Information posted and is available for all to see, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws. Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you. All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited.
Post your message or documents only to the most appropriate lists or libraries. Do not spam several lists or libraries with the same message. All messages must add to the body of knowledge. We reserve the right to reject any message for any reason.

Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner.
