Innovation Is Music to the Ears
Presented by Peter Himmelman
Peter Himmelman is back for an encore! His 2012 chapter meeting was one of ASTD-LA's most successful meetings ever.
Check out this exciting video from the
April 2012 Los Angeles Chapter meeting!
Imagine becoming fearless like Seal Team Six, as inspired as the Beatles, and as synchronized as the New York City Ballet. Picture yourself over-flowing with creativity and putting your best new ideas forward every day. This Big Muse session frees you to feel the power of your own creative process. You learn new ways to be more creative, have greater confidence in your ideas, to develop more fulfilling relationships, and to have a more positive outlook on both life and work.
You will learn to:
- Silence your overactive internal critic
- Use structure and deadlines to get the most from creative inspiration
- Improve problem-solving capabilities
Because songwriting is a unique combination of strict mathematical structure and free-flowing right brain creativity, it is a powerful metaphor for those in search of ways to unleash their innovative capacities.
What past participants have said:
- Our team has been better prepared to set deadlines and meet them.
- Staff is encouraged to be creative without fear of criticism.
- The session has opened dialog between team members.
- Employees feel more empowered and appreciated by management.
- The session builds camaraderie that lasts beyond the meeting.
- Our ability to innovate and think outside the box has improved dramatically.
In this meeting, you will learn how to write a complete song within a set time frame (don’t worry if you’re not “musical” we will be focusing on lyrics only –every songwriter knows that’s the hardest part.) Participants will be selected to perform their finished song with Peter.
