Learning management systems are chock-full of incredible tools that will bring your training program to the next level. But many training managers aren't sure how to choose an LMS that will complement company needs. This session will discuss how to identify appropriate systems, what questions to ask LMS vendors, and critical issues you should address before signing a contract. A comparison of top learning management systems will be provided as a handout. We will also discuss how to set goals for the LMS and get company leadership on board with the implementation process.

Application

  • Identify appropriate learning management system vendors.
  • Create a list of questions and goals to guide discussions with potential vendors.
  • Review the LMS contract for common red flags.
  • Introduce the system to company leadership and get their buy-in.

About the presenter:
Katrina Baker hopes to provide the best of her LMS and project management background to webinar attendees! She currently provides LMS administration to an Am Law 100 law firm, and mentors companies in a variety of industries. Katrina began as an administrator for a Fortune 500 company, and has helped to introduce the world of LMS to hundreds of thousands of employees. She is the author of LMS Success: A Step-by-Step Guide to Learning Management System Administration, and The LMS Selection Checklist.

Previously, Katrina was a two-time small business owner and worked in various nerd-driven industries. She has two Penn State business degrees, and is a proud member of the Association for Talent Development and is the Director of Technology for the Los Angeles Chapter.
