Motivating Others to Share Sensitive Information
Presented by Jay Sherman
Whether you are a leader, a manager, a HR practitioner, an executive coach, or a consultant, getting others to share sensitive information is critically important. In this interactive presentation you will learn how to use empathy to motivate others to open up to you, while maintaining your professional boundaries. You will also have an opportunity to practice your empathy skills using role plays.
Jay Sherman is a human resources professional and attorney, who is hired by companies to investigate alleged sexual harassment, unlawful discrimination and retaliation. He also teaches in the HR Certificate program at UC Santa Barbara Extension. Jay holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School, an M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and is a graduate of the National Institute for Workplace Investigators.
