The accepted wisdom is evolving on how best to manage instructional design projects, and a growing shelf-full of books and articles now offer advice on how to move from ADDIE to SAM. The concepts behind SAM (Successive Approximation Model) have their roots in the agile/scrum framework, which was initially developed to manage software development, and has since become a project management standard across numerous fields.
