PURPOSE
There are many different ways to be a business coach: internal, external or a blend of both. This month’s panel on Business Coaching brings you one of each type, plus a fourth coach as moderator. Bring your questions!
OBJECTIVES
Provide a broad spectrum of answers to questions about coaching.
- How do you get there?
- What do you do once you’re there?
- How does it work inside companies?
TARGETED AUDIENCE
Professionals who think about coaching – either for yourself as a career or for your company as leadership development.
WHO’S ON THE PANEL?
MARY VINETTE is the internal coach on the panel. She is Director of Training and Corporate Coach at Technicolor. She uses her Second City-honed humor to wrestle with the inherent tension built into coaching her colleagues every day.
TOM HENSCHEL is the external coach on the panel. He has run his own company since 1990 and has been coaching almost as long. Tom is an ATD-LA Past-President and recipient of their Lifetime Award.
JEANNE SMITH straddles the internal and external coaching worlds. She runs her own coaching practice and is also a Certified Leadership Strengths Coach with The Marcus Buckingham Company. Jeanne is the immediate past president of International Coach Federation (ICF) LA’s chapter.
SUSAN SMALLEY hung out her shingle as an external coach two years ago. Prior to that, she worked in Disney HR for more than a decade. With an MBA and a coaching certification, she has stories of her own. As moderator, she will make sure your questions get answered.
