The Association for Talent Development-Los Angeles Organization Development Special Interest Group invites you to a presentation:

Employee Engagement for Millennials: The 5 New Rules of Talent Management

Today, more than one-third of American workers is a Millennial.  They will represent close to 75% of the workforce by 2030.  Yet, these workers born between 1980 and 2000 present a unique challenge for Talent Management professionals, with 71% of them not engaged or actively disengaged at work.  Given the correlation between employee engagement and a company’s financial performance, unlocking the potential of this largest generation is one of our most vital issues.

Join us for an interactive presentation and discussion of best practices for engaging the millennial workforce.  We’ll cover:

  • The Business Case for Engagement
  • How Millennials Are Different (and Not So Different)
  • The 5 Rules of Millennial Engagement

Dr. Jennie Wong earned her Ph.D. from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California at the age of 22 for her research on organizational commitment, for which she received the SHRM Foundation Dissertation Grant.  She went on to lead organization development and talent management initiatives for companies including Countrywide and AIG.  After spending the last few years working on a startup, Dr. Wong is now returning to the field with a newfound perspective on culture and innovation.

Location: Wimer Associates, 201 Wilshire Blvd. Santa Monica, CA 90401. Held in the "A" level conference room downstairs.

Parking is in the 2nd St Parking Structure between Wilshire and Arizona. ($1 for 2.5 hours) You cannot turn left into the structure from 2nd St. You need to start from Santa Monica Blvd. or Arizona, turn right onto 2nd St, and turn right into the structure.
