Three Types of Workplace Conflict
And Strategies to Manage Them
Presented by Raymond Sullivan, PhD
Conflicts in the workplace have the potential to damage your organization’s morale and productivity. Conflict can induce stress and damage relationships between employees and between departments. Yet, under some circumstances, conflict can actually be functional, increasing organizational productivity, innovation, and creativity. After all, a harmonious, peaceful, and cooperative team maybe in danger of becoming stagnant and unresponsive to the need for change.
What are the types of conflicts that typically arise in the workplace and what are some techniques we can use to manage them? In this, interactive presentation, we will explore types of conflict, the conflict process, personal conflict handling styles, and we will discuss techniques for managing organizational conflict.
