de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats® methodology is the pioneer of all parallel thinking tools. Organizations of all sizes have used the Six Thinking Hats® method to help individuals and teams overcome critical thinking challenges and conduct more productive meetings. How? By using the method to separate thinking into six precise categories. It is a thinking tool that gives everyone a shared language that will cue the intended audience to focus their thinking in a certain direction.

About the Presenter:
Tawnya Schuman joined Resources Unlimited and de Bono Consulting in January 2015. She has an extensive background in client services and account management, specifically within the financial industry. She has had the opportunity to work very closely with clients in a variety of industry sectors – from governmental agencies to Fortune 500 Companies to small businesses – to help meet their training needs by facilitating group training sessions, virtual webinars, and one-on-one coaching. Tawnya mentors and assists individuals on their journey to become expert trainers in the training programs offered by Resources Unlimited.
Tawnya has earned certifications in several DISC-based communication tools and methodologies, including Patrick Lencioni’s Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team training program. She has completed facilitation training in the de Bono Thinking System’s Six Thinking Hats and Lateral Thinking.
Tawnya’s personal mission statement is:
“I want to Inspire, Teach, and Encourage everyone to be the best possible version of themselves! I strive to introduce positive knowledge to other’s in hopes it will speak to the greater good in people. I believe we can achieve this by cherishing every wonderful moment of communication with one another.”

Parking: When you pull into the main entrance, you will stop at security booth. Tell the security guard you are attending an event at University Hall, and they will direct you to the parking structure. Before you go to the meeting, stop at the kiosk and enter your license plate number, indicate how long you will be on campus and pay with your credit card. Maximum parking charge is $10.
Take the elevator to the ground floor. There will be signs or someone to direct you to the meeting room, when you get off the elevator.
