Happiness: The Secret Weapon in Life and Business

Presented by Ricky Powell

Disengaged, unhappy employees are costing employers over half a trillion dollars per year. Wouldn’t you want to help your employees and yourself experience stronger work relationships and better health?  These are just some of the benefits happy people experience in their lives and careers.

Over 2,000 years ago, Aristotle said, “Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life. The whole aim and end of human existence.” Ironically, our brains are not wired to make us happy. They are wired to keep us alive. Yet, the field of Positive Psychology has proven that happiness is a choice we can make regardless of our outer circumstances.

In this session you will learn what some of America’s top companies are doing to keep their workforce engaged, happy and thrilled to be on the job. Here are just a few examples: How to build instant rapport to connect easily with customers and stakeholders, how to erase  limiting beliefs that prevent success, and how to stop procrastinating and complete tasks immediately.

Come join author, speaker, and executive coach, Ricky Powell, as he shares his experience and research in the science of happiness. Ricky is the founder and CSO (Chief Success Officer) of Successponential Empowerment Training. He is a Southern California native and grew up as a child actor appearing in many TV shows and commercials in the 1970s. After college, he moved behind the camera spending 25 years at NBC where he was responsible for airing every comedy, drama and reality show on the network. Additionally, he helped charter Imagination@NBC Universal Toastmasters and earned the Distinguished Toastmaster Award (DTM), the highest level of educational achievement in the Toastmasters International organization.
