through easy-to-use software such as Vyond or Powtoon. However, if you’ve never used animation to create learning experiences, you may have a few questions. Why would it be beneficial to use animation in your organization? When should you use this type of media for learning? And how do you get started? About the Speaker
Maria Romero is a performance-based professional dedicated to the development and personal growth of others. She currently is the manager of training and instructional design at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. Maria is also the co-creator and animator for a YouTube channel on African American history, www.youtube.com/deeperthanread. Maria is passionate about creating innovative learning experiences where the learner is inspired and transformed. Maria has a Masters in Instructional Technology from California State Monterey Bay. Maria lives in Los Angeles with her husband, her 9-month old son, and cat, Pancake.
