Join us in a panel discussion where Talent Acquisition and Development experts discuss how to navigate the job market and the search process in L&D. Find out ways to build confidence during your job search, learn the latest tips and strategies to optimize a resume that is responsive to a keyword search or catches a recruiter’s eyes, and share interview techniques that will make you stand out. There will also be a Q&A at the end for participants to ask their own questions. 

We will touch upon the following topics:

Your Presenters

Cassandra Perez is the Manager of Talent Operations at Pixel United and is responsible for Data Analytics, Systems, and Talent Attraction. She has implemented and configured various applicant tracking systems. She has accumulated nearly a decade of experience in the talent acquisition space as a full-cycle recruiter and brand specialist in many industries such as education, music, and gaming. She has led many projects to improve the candidate experience and streamline the recruitment process. Her expertise centers around creating an environment for teams to be more efficient so they can focus on the candidate experience and prioritize a positive experience for all stakeholders.

Laureen Kautt, BCC, NLP, RMT Master Coach Principal Talent Partner and Career Coach is an experienced Talent Executive, Career Enthusiast, and Professional Coach who found her vocation early on in her career life. Driven by passion and purpose, she takes pride in providing the best talent coaching available in the market. As a Principal Talent Coach who is both BCC and NLP Certified, and Recruitment Professional, her goals include assisting people to gain a career that they are wild about, helping companies, both start-up and established, find the talent necessary for growth, and an influential author on all things career and recruitment. In addition to her primary job functions, Laureen has been recognized by Recruiter.com, Thrive Global, and EDRM for her extraordinary commitment to serving those who fall victim to layoffs, looking for a career change, up leveling recruitment skills and functionality for boutique recruitment firms, coupled with training people how to find certainty in uncertain times. Maryam Samiyi brings over 25 years of international recruiting and onboarding experience. She has worked for Shell Oil Company, USC and Amazon. Her career has taken her to many parts of the world including Canada, Scotland, Brazil, the Philippines, England and Holland. By many she is called the "recruiting guru" as she has reviewed so many resumes and hired hundreds of candidates for her employers at all different levels. She has taken time to mentor and sponsor people throughout her career. She looks for ways to enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience and pays very close attention to these two stakeholder groups. She will share her story with us, her successes and where there were bottlenecks along her journey.

Tony Vo has been a Technical Recruiter for nearly a decade at the top tech companies like Meta and Google. He has hired the top 5% of talent around the globe. He currently supports the Software Engineering Leadership team at Meta. He has been a top performer on every team he's been on, specializing in a variety of domains and roles such as Front End Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, Software Engineering Leadership and more. Prior to that, he was an HR Generalist Assistant for a small company in Anaheim where he was responsible for the recruitment process, and a Customer Service and Sales Representative at Bank of America where he was awarded the team sales champion title five times for most sales in the given month.
