Your Presenters
Valerie (Val) Quezada, MS is the new Learning & Development Manager at Takeda Pharmaceuticals in Los Angeles. Previously she was the Instructional System Designer from the Los Angeles facility creating learning experiences for multiple business units. She is a learning enthusiast passionate about developing others and prides herself on listening to her audience to provide the best possible learning outcomes. Val graduated with a Masters's in Instructional Design and Technology from California State University, Fullerton. She realized early in the program that she was intrigued by and had an aptitude for emerging technology. Val focuses on using virtual and mixed-reality solutions to increase her learners' retention and reduce the time it takes to learn a new skill.
Matthew (Matt) Marra is currently the Extended Reality Platform Lead at Takeda. Previously he was the Mobile Device Architect and at the same time, had personally built and published three mobile applications on the Apple App Store. He has also built his own home automation system with 30+ IoT devices and 3D-modeled his home in the process. He has been an enthusiast of virtual reality technology for the past 6 years and is now leading Takeda into the Metaverse using the knowledge acquired through learning the area as a personal interest.
