In this presentation, you'll learn about the power and impact visuals can have on an audience. We'll discuss the importance of design and how it is much more than decoration. We'll also explore:

How graphics express a message more succinctly than words
How to speed up a visual message
How to make visuals cognitively efficient
How to persuade and engage with emotional imagery

This session is for anyone who conceives, designs and creates graphics in a learning context, including their supervisors.

About the Speaker: Connie Malamed consults, writes, and speaks in the fields of online learning, visual communication, and information design. She publishes the popular website, The eLearning Coach and is the author of the Instructional Design Guru iPhone app and the book, Visual Language for Designers, which presents visual design principles based on cognitive science.
