Workshop: Basics of Creating a Captivate Simulation

Facilitated by Leslie Bivens

During this hands-on workshop, you create a basic simulation of an application using Adobe Captivate 6. You set up the application, your desktop, and Captivate for efficient capturing; record the simulation; edit; and add a script and text-to-speech audio.

Then you add objects, such as text captions, highlight boxes, characters, and Smart Shapes; quickly sync those objects on the timeline; add closed captioning; publish; and create a reviewer’s storyboard. 

Throughout the workshop, Leslie will offer critical tips and tricks that help you avoid the gotchas that slow down development.

Use your own application or follow along with the Web-based application that she'll use as a sample.

After you complete this workshop, you’ll have a simulation at the Beta review stage and have the skills you need to complete final edits and publication.
