Merging Social Learning and Technology to Achieve Business Outcomes

About This Article:

Our discussion will be centered around a recent article from Training Industry Quarterly.

We see the prevalence of social media everywhere with varying levels of quality, importance, and appropriateness.  At its core, social learning remains fundamentally unchanged.  Humans have always modeled what others do to learn, to understand, to accomplish tasks, and to change behavior.

Join us as we explore how the digital world is tied to social learning.  We will discuss how the ability to align social learning techniques with social media capabilities is a powerful way to achieve specific business outcomes.

The session will be facilitated by Anthony Markovich and the South Bay Special Division Team.

Our Session Format:

The Text Study RoundTable is an exciting new practice in real-time participatory democracy.  We read the selected piece aloud together for about 15 minutes.  Then, for the next 45 minutes, we offer everyone in attendance equal time to share their thoughts and experiences on or around the topic.  Come explore with us!

The GEMS Text Study RoundTable format is provided by Sue Gabriele, President and Owner, Gabriele Educational Materials and Systems.
