About Van
Van Swearingen is the Senior IT Training and Applications Support Specialist at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp llp. Van has 25 years experience in law firm enterprise information technology and has made a career on "being good with computers" beginning in a support role as a secretary and word processor back in the '80s, to law-firm IT help desk and help desk manager in the 90's, and continuing to IT consulting, technical training, training manager, project-based traveling trainer, and IT training project management and user-experience developer for major global law firms in New York and Los Angeles, continuing as the in-house IT training coordinator and more for a prestigious full-service entertainment industry law firm in West LA.
Van attended Hunter College at the City University of New York, and has earned an assortment of computer application master-certifications, administrative management certificates from NYU and The New School, and is an HDI-certified Support Center Manager.
In addition to his enterprise technology experience, Van is an accomplished photographer. Since 2005, Van's botanical and architectural images have been published worldwide. Van's commissioned photography includes fine-art, portrait, and documentary landscape, architectural, and interior design.
