Join us for this special event and be filmed! This month is a hosted panel discussion in cooperation with E-Learning TV.

Our topic for this month is "Why many Training Departments Hate Their LMS."

Our three panelists, Jo Lynn Feinstein, Joy Gemberling and Franz Villa will be filmed and broadcasted as an episode of E-Learning TV hosted by John Swanstrom.

ASTD-LA members will be the audience and will have the opportunity to participate in the discussion by asking questions.

About our Host and Panelists:

John Swanstrom is the Host of eLearningTV and the Director of Marketing at Cogentys, a Los Angeles Based LMS company. A native of Los Angeles, John likes to keep up with emerging music scene. One of his current favorites is Jake Bugg. His favorite watering hole in Hollywood is the Burgundy Room. His dog is named fluffy and for some reason he feels compelled to race mountain bikes.

Jo Lynn Feinstein has been actively engaged in individual and organizational performance improvement for nearly 20 years. She has worked with public and private organizations, from startups to Fortune 100 companies. Currently, Jo Lynn works with DaVita HealthCare Partners where she initiated a redesign of the HealthCare Partners LMS and leads the initiative to establish one standardized LMS across all markets.

Joy Gemberling is a Jersey native who is quite renaissance; starting her career in the photography world as a Freelance Photographer, Adjunct Professor of Photography and Curatorial Assistant for Richard Avedon. She’s been able to utilize her creativity into the training world; having extensive experience developing, designing and facilitating training programs in variety of formats with a diverse list of organizations. Joy has designed and managed large-scale training programs to help organizations improve their business productivity and implement new technologies. She’s currently working as an Instructional Design Consultant on various projects as well as teaching MS Office classes at Women at Work, Pasadena. Joy served as Vice President of Community Services with ASTD-LA in 2012 – 2013 and currently League Training Chair for the Junior League of Pasadena.

Franz Villa has been involved with corporate training and development for more than 10 years and is the Learning Program Manager for Big 5 Sporting Goods. Franz has also worked with companies such as Sony, ADP, Oracle, SAP, and Home Depot on strategic training and workforce planning initiatives, giving him battlefield experience leading LMS and talent management projects. He literally has a battle scar to prove it!
