About Heather
Dr. Backstrom has more than 20 years experience collaborating with and coaching leaders to enhance their effectiveness. Heather's Personal Brand is Learning through creativity. She is experienced in leadership coaching, workshop facilitation, instructional design, meeting facilitation and problem resolution with both individuals and groups. She has worked in the for-profit, not-for-profit and public sector arenas for large and small organizations. She earned her Coaching Certification from Coaches Training Institute. She also has a doctorate in organizational leadership from Pepperdine University.
Heather is a volunteer with the Tournament of Roses Association, a Board member for the American Red Cross, and a member of ProVisors. She resides in the Los Angeles area and enjoys international travel, reading and physical exercise including hiking, Zumba and yoga.
